How to Build a Website with Falbor
A complete guide to going from idea to live website using Falbor's AI-powered builder.
How to Build a Website with Falbor
Whether you're launching a startup landing page, a portfolio, or a full SaaS product — Falbor lets you go from idea to a live, production-ready website in minutes, not months. This guide walks you through the entire process.
What You'll Need
- A Falbor account (free to start)
- A clear idea of what your site should do
- Optional: a domain name
Step 1 — Describe Your Idea
Open Falbor and type a description of the website you want to build. Be as specific or as vague as you like — the AI adapts to you.
Examples:
- "A landing page for a fitness coaching app with a hero section, pricing table, and contact form"
- "A portfolio for a freelance photographer with a fullscreen gallery and booking section"
Falbor reads your prompt, plans the structure, and immediately starts generating code.
Step 2 — Review the Generated Layout
Once the AI finishes building, you'll see a live preview of your site on the right and the generated code on the left.
At this point you can:
- Chat with Falbor to refine any section ("make the hero headline larger", "change the color scheme to teal")
- Switch templates from the Template Gallery if you prefer a different starting point
- Edit code directly in the built-in editor if you want fine-grained control
Step 3 — Connect Integrations
Falbor has first-class support for the services your site will need:
| Integration | What it does | |---|---| | Stripe | Accept payments, manage subscriptions | | Discord | Add community features or notifications | | Google OAuth | One-click sign-in for your users | | Slack | Webhook alerts for new sign-ups or orders |
Navigate to Integrations in the sidebar and connect the ones your project needs. Falbor will automatically wire them into your generated code.
Step 4 — Set Up a Database (Optional)
If your site needs to store data, Falbor can scaffold a database schema for you. Just describe what you need:
"I need a table for users and a table for blog posts with a one-to-many relationship"
Falbor generates a Drizzle ORM schema and the corresponding API routes. You bring the database connection string via the .env panel — Falbor never touches your credentials.
Step 5 — Test Everything
Before going live, use the Preview mode to test the full user flow:
- Click through every page and CTA
- Submit forms and verify they reach your backend
- Test on mobile by resizing the preview window
- Check dark mode (Falbor generates dark-mode-ready code by default)
If anything looks off, describe it to Falbor in the chat — it will fix it.
Step 6 — Deploy
When you're happy, hit Deploy. Falbor publishes your site to Vercel with one click:
- Automatic HTTPS
- Global CDN
- CI/CD on every future change
You'll get a live URL instantly. Connect your custom domain in the Domains tab.
Tips for Getting the Best Results
- Be specific with colors and fonts — mention brand guidelines upfront
- Provide reference sites — paste URLs and Falbor will match the aesthetic
- Iterate in small steps — change one thing at a time rather than rewriting everything in one prompt
- Use Workspaces — keep client projects separate and invite collaborators
What's Next?
Once your site is live, explore:
- Analytics — connect Vercel Analytics or Plausible to track traffic
- Blog — ask Falbor to add a blog powered by Markdown files (like this one!)
- Enterprise — if you need SSO, audit logs, and dedicated support, check out Falbor Enterprise
